Neck Details: One piece mahogany neck with unbound Brazilian rosewood fretboard and dot inlays
Electronics: The neck and middle pickups are original, but their leads have been replaced. The bridge pickup has been replaced with a Fralin hum-cancelling P90. The wiring has been completely replaced. The slide switch was removed and and replaced with a three way toggle. The toggle switch selects the neck and bridge pickups. A 5th knob was added to the guitar. The three knobs closest to the treble side waist control volume for neck, middle and bridge pickups. The middle volume control adds the middle pickup regardless of where the selector switch is positioned. With the middle control up, the middle pickup is always on. The two knobs closest to the output jack control tone for the neck and bridge pickups.
Pickup Measurements: neck 8.0k ohms middle 8.0k ohms bridge 15.1k ohms
Hardware: The tuners, nut, bridge, pickguard and knobs have been replaced; the original pickguard is included. The guitar originally had a vibrato unit which was removed. The strap buttons and truss rod cover are original.
Modifications/Repairs: -The guitar has been fully refinished. -The guitar has been fully rewired, only the neck and middle pickups are original. -A 5th knob was added near the output jack. -The pickguard has been replaced. The original pickguard is included; the hole for the original slide switch was filled. -A three way toggle switch was installed. -A Badass bridge has been installed and the original vibrato unit has been removed. The holes have been covered by the refin. -Schaller tuners have been installed. -A new bone nut has been installed.
Case Details: Hardshell case
Cosmetic Condition: The guitar has been fully refinished; the finish is clean with assorted light scratches. There are a few small finish cracks at the bottom of the body near the output jack.
Tech Notes: -The guitar plays well with low action. The frets are wide and low with minimal play wear. -The original pickguard appears to be originally for three pickups, so we are calling this a Firebird III. -The previously recorded serial number dates to 1965; the serial number has since been obscured by the refinish.

If you decide you'd like to return an item, please contact your Sales Rep, chat us, or give us a call.

If you placed your order on Amazon or eBay, we advise issuing the return request from your account on the platform of purchase - our Customer Service team will process a refund upon receipt of the item(s).

Most new items may be returned within 30 days of delivery and most vintage & used items may be returned within 3 days of delivery for a full refund, exchange, or store credit. Please pack the product safely for the journey back to us. If the product was shipped for free, the charge will be deducted from refund, unless the reason for the return is outside normal circumstances.

Please contact us as soon as possible if your order was received incorrectly, damaged, or defective. Most times we will give you an RA number (Return Authorization). Why is that number important? This will allow us to speed up the process of the return.

We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee based on the return condition. Some items we just can’t take back for returns, due to a one time function like strings or drums heads and other times it’s not sanitary to do so with microphones or harmonicas.
