Body Details: Neck-through construction with mahogany center and mahogany wings
Neck Material: Mahogany
Fingerboard Material: Ebony
Neck Profile: "C" profile
Neck Thickness (IN): .85" (1st fret), .93" (12th fret)

Electronics: Original Gibson Firebird pickups with patent number stickers, and original electronic components including 3-way toggle switch and volume/tone controls for the neck and bridge pickups. The middle pickup has been removed, rewound, reinstalled, and the braided lead has been replaced. The remainder of the harness is original, and the pot codes date to 1963.
Pickup Measurements: 6.7k (neck), 6.4k (middle), 6.6k (bridge)
Hardware: Original. The pickguard is cracked near a few of the screws, but is secure to the body.

Cosmetic Condition: This vintage Gibson Firebird has plenty of nice antiquing, with checking and small dings and dents throughout the glossy finish. The gold hardware has nicely tarnished, and there is additional wear on the back of the body. There is a repaired headstock break which is visible from the front and back, and the back of the neck is glossy and smooth. The neck binding has a split at the fifth fret side dot, but is secure.
Serial Number: 155086
Tech Notes: The guitar plays well with low action and optimal neck relief, and the truss rod is adjustable. The frets are tall with light play wear. The pot codes and serial number date the guitar to 1964.
