Neck Details: Two piece maple neck with bound ebony board.
Hardware: Original hardware except for replaced end pin.

Modifications/Repairs: -The headstock has been broken and repaired. There are five wooden splines in the back of the headstock reinforcing the crack. The back of the headstock has been refinished in black to cover the repair. -The entire neck appears to have been over-sprayed. -There are various cracks around the sides of the body, especially around the neck heel that have been repaired and touched up. -There is a repaired crack on the bass side face of the headstock. This has not been touched up.
Case Details: Hard shell case.
Cosmetic Condition: The mandola has heavy play wear and extensive repair (see pictures). The finish is glossy with checking and dents and scratches throughout. The binding has begun to deteriorate, but is still mostly intact.
Tech Notes: -The mandola plays well with medium/high action. It would benefit from a neck reset for optimum playability. There is some separation between the top back and sides around the neck joint (see pictures). This instrument is being sold "as is". -The serial number is completely faded, but this instrument was produced by Gibson between 1902 and 1922.
