Summary
Finish: The body has been fully oversprayed; the neck and headstock finish appears to be original. There is a rose decal on the front of the bass shoulder, under the clear coat.

Body Details: Mahogany back and sides with spruce top. There is what appears to be some water damage to the wood and finish along the bottom of the body; a small separation where the wood began to warp has been repaired. Several internal braces have been reglued.

The neck has a solid maple reinforcement bar instead of an adjustable truss rod, common for guitars of this era. The fingerboard has been removed, reglued, and refretted, and the neck has been reset. A new bone nut has been made.

The top is glossy with age-appropriate wear, while the sides and back have some areas of finish blush. The bottom edge of the body has patches of what appears to be water damage, with some minor warping of the wood. There is finish wear around the tongue of the fretboard, and heavy scratches on the back of the body. The headstock has moderate cosmetic wear, and there is a slight seam visible where the fingerboard was reglued. |
