Finish Details: The guitar has been over-sprayed.

Body Details: Maple back and sides with a spruce top.There are large repaired cracks along the shoulders and neck, along the top under the bridge on the bass side, and on the back under the tail-piece and strap button.

Neck Details: Mahogany neck with a bound ebony fingerboard and dot inlays. On the first, second, and third frets, the fingerboard has been filled in with wood filler presumably due to wear. The neck has been re-set, re-fretted, and the binding has been replaced. There are two semi-filled holes on the side of bass side of the headstock above the D string tuning peg.

Tech Notes: This L-1 plays well with low action and optimal neck relief. The frets are tall and show light play wear. It has been properly setup and intonated in standard tuning. Because of the serial number, the maple body, carved top, and inlay style around the sound hole, this guitar is being dated to 1920.
