Description & Specs

The following specs were carefully collected and recorded by a skilled technician. For a more detailed description and questions regarding sound, feel, or cosmetic condition, please visit our Lincoln Avenue showroom or call to speak to one of our Used and Vintage experts.
Finish Details: Although the guitar black lights evenly and old throughout (bright green/yellow), suggesting that the finish is untouched (except in the small areas of obvious black touchups), the finish on the maple top and holly headstock veneer exhibit a slightly different texture and checking. Because of this, we believe that those parts of the guitar were either clear lacquer oversprayed and/or buffed, probably to make it shiny looking again at some point in the past.

Hardware: Original
Modifications/Repairs: -The top of the body and the headstock veneer appear to have been oversprayed and/or buffed. -There are small black finish touchups on the top around the edges of the body, under the bridge, on the headstock and on the back of the neck opposite the 12th fret.
Case Details: Original hard shell case.
Cosmetic Condition: The guitar has moderate play wear. There is considerable finish checking on the top of the body, the sides and the back of the neck and headstock. The back of the body has moderate buckle rash. There are numerous small finish touchups throughout the body and neck. These were probably to cover areas where the finish chipped off due to checking. The metal hardware is nicely tarnished with age. There is a large area of finish chipped off the back of the neck. One corner of the neck pickup ring is cracked, but the ring is still fully functional.
Serial Number: 886069
Tech Notes: -The guitar plays well with low action. The frets are small with light play wear. -The serial number dates to 1968.
