| Finish Details: | The body and neck have been refinished. The headstock "Les Paul Model" decal is missing, as is the serial number, probably due to the repair. The gold finish appears to be original but has been oversprayed with clear lacquer, probably at the time of repairs decades ago. The whole guitar blacklights as if it's old finish. |

| Electronics: | Original Gibson P-90 pickups. The wiring harness has been replaced, with one vintage "Bumblebee" capacitor, and the pot codes date to 1978. |
| Pickup Measurements: | 7.8k (neck), 8.0k (bridge) |

| Modifications/Repairs: | -The body and neck have been refinished, including the headstock face, probably at the same time of crack repairs. The gold finish on the face of the guitar is almost certainly original, but it was more than likely oversprayed with clear lacquer when the rest of the body and neck were finished after the repairs. This is why the brightness of the top has faded more than a goldtop usually would. -Repaired headstock crack. Small cracks on body by heel have also been repaired -Replaced wiring harness with 1978 pot codes -The neck has been off the body at some point, possibly part of the heel crack repair. -Crack in the top near the switch, possibly from removing the neck -Replaced switch tip and truss rod cover |
| Case Details: | Original Hardshell Case |
| Cosmetic Condition: | This vintage Gibson Les Paul shows various signs of age and use, with checking and various small chips/dings throughout. There is a repaired crack on the top of the body, which may have resulted from the neck being removed. The hardware and plastics have aged, and the back of the body has moderate buckle rash. There is a repaired headstock crack visible on the back. The decal is missing from the refinished headstock face. |
| Serial Number: | N/A |
| Tech Notes: | The guitar plays well with low action, and the truss rod is adjustable. The narrow frets are low with light play wear. The serial number was removed during the headstock crack repair. The guitar is being dated to 1956 by its construction appointments as well as the fact that the previous owner bought it from Jackson's Rare Guitars in Sydney Australia in the year 2000 and it was described as such by them. |
