Body Details: Mahogany back & sides with a solid spruce top. -- The body shows multiple crack repairs; a few examples: adjacent to the treble side of the pickguard between the sound hole and the bridge, the top center seam between the sound hole and the bridge, and the lower portion of the backs center seam.

Neck Details: One-piece mahogany neck with a Brazilian rosewood board, center dot pearloid inlays, truss adjustment at the headstock -- The neck has been reset by one of our in-house techs.

Hardware: The bridge has been replaced multiple times throughout this instruments life. A footprint from a the original bridge can been under the front below the strings. One of our in-house techs installed this Guild style bridge with a bone saddle.
Modifications/Repairs: The neck has been reset -- The bridge has been replaced with a Guild style bridge -- Multiple crack repairs
Case Details: Non-original chipboard case covered magazine/news-paper mache.
Cosmetic Condition: This LG-1 shows a lot of nice aging and play wear. The finish has checked nicely throughout. Nicks, dings, scratches, scuffs, and other various blemishes exist.
Serial Number: 87302
Tech Notes: Currently, setup with 12-gauge phosphor bronze strings, low action, and optimal neck relief. The frets are wide with moderate height showing light play wear. -- The serial number dates this Gibson from 1962, however there are examples from 1963 and 1964.
