Description
The Gibson MOD series focuses on that intangible quality that all musicians absolutely love, but can’t easily define: “mojo.” Selecting a particular model from their Historic lineup and slathering on the mojo, Gibson goes beyond just replicating and reinvents these iconic axes to create something entirely new and different. The Gibson Memphis 1961 ES-335 Bigsby MOD features a Bigsby B-7 vibrola tailpiece with “ground down” anchor studs, “heavy flake” blue sparkle gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish, Grover “Milk Bottle” Rotomatic tuners, black headstock stinger, and dual Memphis Historic Spec humbucking pickups with Memphis Tone Control Historic wiring to keep this ES-335 a ’61 at heart, but spin it off in a thoroughly unexpected way that’s sure to be appreciated by vintage collectors and modern players alike.
About Gibson Memphis:
