Long regarded as one of Gibson’s most enduring and influential designs, the ES-335 has been embraced across generations and musical styles. With the ES Supreme, that legacy is reimagined at the highest level, transforming the ES-335 platform into a true flagship that blends cutting-edge performance with unmistakable visual presence.
Renowned for its adaptability, the ES-335 has always been a go-to instrument for players who demand flexibility without compromise. The ES Supreme builds upon that foundation, extending its sonic range while introducing appointments that elevate its visual impact. A bound, 3-ply maple/poplar/maple body with a solid maple centerblock delivers enhanced sustain and dependable feedback resistance. The mahogany neck, shaped to a comfortable Rounded C profile, offers effortless playability.
A bound ebony fretboard with a 10“—16” compound radius and 22 medium jumbo frets is highlighted by elegant Super Split Block mother-of-pearl inlays. Gold hardware enhances the refined aesthetic and includes an aluminum Nashville Tune-O-Matic™ bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece. At the headstock, locking Grover® Rotomatic® tuners with keystone buttons join a Graph Tech® nut to ensure precise, stable tuning, while a newly introduced mother-of-pearl headstock inlay—drawn from a 1940s Gibson archive design—adds a distinctive finishing touch.
Sonically, the ES Supreme pushes versatility even further. Push/pull volume controls allow for coil splitting of the Burstbucker™ Rhythm Pro and Burstbucker Lead Pro + pickups, expanding the instrument’s tonal palette with additional sonic options.
