One of One: The GSR F-512 #4000
Guild celebrates its California facility’s 4000th production guitar with the very first Guild Special Run: the GSR F-512 #4000.
In 2014, Guild opened its new state-of-the-art facility on Pacific Avenue in Oxnard, California. After making top-of-the-line guitars for over half a century in numerous locations along the eastern seaboard, the move to California signified a shift for the storied brand, taking with them their timeless construction techniques, as well as much of the original equipment from their very first New York factory and the old-world philosophies that made early Guilds so vaunted, and introducing the cutting-edge technology and innovative vision that would usher the brand into a new golden age.
Based on the F-512, Guild’s jumbo 12-string model, the GSR F-512 #4000 pairs Guild’s superb luthiery with some of the highest grade materials available, including a AAAAA-grade Adirondack spruce top and matching solid Madagascar Rosewood sides, back, peg head, and truss rod cover, scalloped Adirondack spruce bracing, railroad track fingerboard purfling, fully bound headstock, MOP V-block inlays, and a MOP and abalone “Flying G” inlay at the 12th fret.
This carefully crafted masterpiece responds with bright, beautiful highs, balanced mids, and rich, tight bass and comes equipped with an LR Baggs Anthem pickup system to offer full tonal versatility.
It’s the only GSR F-512 #4000 ever made and the only place you can get it is Chicago Music Exchange. Call, click, or stop in to own a historic work by one of the industry’s most artful manufacturers.
