Electronics: Original Hofner pickups and electronics, with 2-way pickup selector switch, passive master volume and tone controls, and active preamp with on/off switch, 2 slider switches and mid-frequency knob. The 9 volt battery snap has been replaced.

Modifications/Repairs: The battery snap has been replaced.
Case Details: Original hardshell case. The main latch is secure, however the two clasps do not work as the case trim has separated in many spots. The handle is also missing.
Cosmetic Condition: The bass has aged nicely, with light finish scratches and other small blemishes on the glossy finish. There are some small finish chips and dents on the top of the bass bout, and near the output jack.
Tech Notes: The bass plays well with moderately low action and mild neck relief, and is currently strung with flatwound strings. The truss rod has limited adjustability. The frets are medium height with minor wear. The style of the built-in electronics dates this bass to the mid- to late 1960s.
