The Olinto is by far one of the most unique hand made boutique instruments on the planet. All Olinto basses have hand carved necks, and hand wound pickups. All of our basses use dual acing truss rods to create an incredibly stable neck. We use artist grade woods for each build. Each pickup is made by hand, from cutting & boring out the fiber used to construct the pickup itself. We use the same “scatter wound” technique used in the 60’s to reproduce a very authentic vintage sound that so many players look for. Mas Hino builds every bass. All finishes are mixed & done in house with vintage style nitro by James Carbonetti. Every Olinto bass is built in Brooklyn NY at “The Guitar Shop NYC”.
