In 1957, Promark was the first American drumstick manufacturer to market with a sustainable Japanese Oak drumstick. For the last six decades, drummers have enjoyed our assortment of Shira Kashi Oak Classic drumstick models for their weight, articulation and durability characteristics. With the addition of our Select Balance system, drummers now have the choice of Forward or Rebound balance on our three most popular drumstick sizes in oak, giving them the ability to choose the optimal stick for any playing situation.
Rebound models feature a long, 3" taper for finesse and agility
Promark's reinvented acorn tip features a larger sweet-spot than traditional acorn tips, providing a warm, full sound
Shira Kashi™ Oak is a dense and heavy wood providing a sturdy feel in your hand and excellent ride cymbal articulation. Sticks made of this Japanese Oak are exceptionally durable and usually last longer than other types of wood.
