Description & Specs

This closeout guitar is in new condition and has been carefully inspected.

From PRS:

With its retro-inspired vibe and appointments, the SE Starla Stoptail is an approachable but distinctive guitar. The all-mahogany body paired with a two-piece adjustable stoptail bridge offers a woody, warm midrange tone, while the DS-02 treble and bass pickups add a bright high-end bark that allows the SE Starla Stoptail to cut through the mix. Turn up the volume and the DS-02 pickups go from clean and crisp to driving with rich harmonic overtones. The electronics layout features a 3-way blade pickup switch with a push/pull tone control, so the humbuckers can split into single coils for even more versatility.

Other features include a 22-fret, 25” scale length Wide Fat mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard, bird inlays, and pickguard assembly. Tone, feel, and style are all waiting for you with the SE Starla Stoptail.

Good guitar

This guitar is well worth the money, especially on clearance. It came set up well, plays superbly and sounds great. It also stays in tune really well and I play it better than I have anything I’ve ever had in my hands, and I started when I was 8 and I’m 52. I couldn’t find any flaws in how it was made. Honestly, what more do you need? It’s very loud and resonant unplugged and rings and chimes like a bell plugged in. I love how it sounds. Now, if you’re looking for Les Paul type rock tones, this isn’t your guitar. I like the coil split tones, but they don’t really sound like a strat. More like a tele. I’ve always been mostly a rock guy, and this guitar has me playing different things. Soul rhythm and rockabilly? Really? Yep. Don’t be expecting something to rival a Gibson custom Shop or Core PRS to show up, you aren’t paying for that. You might have to tighten a screw or two, and the jack plate isn’t much, neither are the knobs, but everything works fine and i will vouch for it being worth every penny and then some. It’s like this, It won’t hold you back at all.

Great first experience with CME

It was perfectly setup out of the box. Action and intonation were spot on. Just a quick tuning, and it was ready to go. Guitar is fantastic. Extremely fast shipping. Great experience all the way around. Nice touch adding a few CME guitar picks. None of the other online stores I’ve shopped with have ever added that simple, yet really appreciated touch. Looking forward to doing business with you in the future.
