I bought a complete Ddrum jr drum set package online for my 4.5 year old son. The drum shells are pretty good but the hardware and cymbals were complete garbage, especially the high hat stand, bass pedal, and throne. I went back online to find better quality stuff because it was clear that the cheap parts were not gonna last long. So I ordered a Sonar cymbal stand online again and the transaction went thru Chicago Music. The package was delivered quickly and when I opened the box I was immediately blown away by the difference in quality compared to the cheap stuff. Included in the wrapping was a guitar pick and a few stickers from Chicago Music and this made my son’s day. Kids + stickers is always a winning combo. So much so that I started thinking... I spent a decent amount of money shopping online thru the years and very few companies do stuff like this. I decided to replace the rest of the cheap drum hardware, but this time instead of going to the online giants, I went to Chicago Music’s site and ordered the rest direct thru them. Another cymbal boom stand, the low snare stand, and low throne. Ended up replacing the high hat stand with a Meinl low boy stand, 10” high hats, a crash and a ride/crash ( all Meinl) thru another music store local to me. Now this is a solid set that he can hammer away on without worrying about falling cymbal stands or constantly tightening all the butterfly screws on the entire kit! I highly recommend the Sonar S2000 hardware series. Great quality.....pricey, but will last forever and once he outgrows the Ddrum we’ll just replace the shells.

If you decide you'd like to return an item, please contact your Sales Rep, chat us, or give us a call.
If you placed your order on Amazon or eBay, we advise issuing the return request from your account on the platform of purchase - our Customer Service team will process a refund upon receipt of the item(s).
Most new items may be returned within 30 days of delivery and most vintage & used items may be returned within 3 days of delivery for a full refund, exchange, or store credit. Please pack the product safely for the journey back to us. If the product was shipped for free, the charge will be deducted from refund, unless the reason for the return is outside normal circumstances.
Please contact us as soon as possible if your order was received incorrectly, damaged, or defective. Most times we will give you an RA number (Return Authorization). Why is that number important? This will allow us to speed up the process of the return.
We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee based on the return condition. Some items we just can’t take back for returns, due to a one time function like strings or drums heads and other times it’s not sanitary to do so with microphones or harmonicas.
