A tribute to the secret weapon of adventurous players who've dared to explore its depths, the Bass VI is tuned an octave lower than a guitar, but with a smaller fretboard scale allowing for it to be strung with wound strings in lighter gauges than a typical bass guitar, which can be spaced closer together, similar to a 6-string concert-pitch guitar.
