The Ozark is a modernized version of the late 50’s Supro Ozark guitar played by Joe Perry and Jimi Hendrix. The vintage-correct body dimensions, 25” scale length and steel control plate—as well as the signature pinstripe line art from the original—have all been meticulously recreated in this limited edition Ozark for 2019. In order to capture the sonic magic of this mid-century classic, we worked with Lace pickups to recreate the much sought-after tone of the vintage Supro Lap Steel pickup found on the original Ozark hand made famous by Ry Cooder and David Lindley.
