The new flagship line of drums from TAMA, the Star Maple series expands on the some of the features and know-how of the celebrated Starclassic series, redefining every detail in order to enhance resonance as much as possible. Featuring a "Solid Core Ply," the center ply of these 5-ply, 5mm-thick maple drums is a 2mm-thick piece of solid maple, surrounded on both sides by additional 1mm plies of maple. This unique shell composition and thickness yields amazing resonance and projection, which aided by the use of lacquer finish instead of a traditional wrap.
