The 9 00 Series hosts some of Taylor ’s finest craftsmanship and aesthetic artistry, and this limited-edition Grand Auditorium fits the bill with a gorgeous suite of appointments and a singular voice. Solid walnut back and sides meet a sinker cypress top for a distinctive blend of warmth, sweetness and harmonic complexity. The walnut brings a rich, substantial midrange and focused low end, while the sinker cypress contributes mellow, rounded trebles and a naturally expressive response. Inside, scalloped V-Class bracing enhances volume, sustain and open-string resonance.
Distinctive details include chamfered body edges, a beveled armrest and cut away, black/koa/paua top and back purfling, koa fretboard and peghead purfling, Sea Forest Vine inlays in paua and koa, and a paua rosette. The guitar features a full-gloss body, with Kona Burst on the back, sides and neck complemented by a shaded edgeburst top.
