Epiphone & Gibson Custom Shop | Noel Gallagher Signature Electric Guitars
Oasis Fans Now Have Access To The Guitars That Defined The Sounds Of Brit-Pop For A Whole Generation!
Watch any of the Oasis music videos from the height of the band’s mid-’90s heyday—like “Don’t Look Back In Anger” or “Champagne Supernova,” for example—or live concert footage from that era, and you’re sure to see the guitar that started it all for Noel Gallagher. While the guitarist played various Gibson and Epiphone guitars during the early Oasis tours, it was his ‘80s Epiphone Riviera in a Dark Wine Red finish that really stood out.
Now, Oasis fans can access the look and sound of the instrument that defined the experience of seeing the ultimate British rock ‘n’ roll band with the Epiphone Noel Gallagher Riviera in stunning Dark Wine Red. With the original model still in the artist’s collection, Epiphone was granted access and, as a result, has included many historical elements of the original model.
Featuring a color and finish that closely match original models from that era, the Noel Gallagher Riviera comes equipped with Epiphone Alnico Classic PRO pickups to ensure the sound matches the looks, plus a SlimTaper neck, complete with the inclusion of a volute, as well as extra touches—such as the historically accurate “E” appointments on the pickguard and truss rod cover, in addition to a brown soundhole label, which gives this guitar a “vintage feel.” Complete with an Epiphone hardshell case, the guitar is finished off with a replica of the artist’s signature on the back of the headstock.
Gibson Custom Noel Gallagher 1960 ES-355
While Noel Gallagher’s affiliation with ES-style guitars stretches back to the beginning of Oasis, it wasn’t until the peak of the band’s popularity that he purchased a 1960 Gibson ES-355 in 1997. Deemed “too nice” to play at the time by Noel Gallagher, he intended for the guitar to remain a collector’s piece, initially—until he finally took it on stage in the early 2000s, where it has remained a constant for the guitarist ever since.
Now, 20 years later, Gibson Custom is proud to announce the Noel Gallagher 1960 ES-355. Limited to just 200 units globally and aged by the craftsman in Gibson’s Murphy Lab, these replicas of the artist’s instrument include all the appointments which make this ES-355 the pinnacle of guitar craftsmanship—including a multi-ply bound maple body, a mahogany neck, an ebony fretboard, a Varitone switch, and a Bigsby B7 vibrato tailpiece.
A reproduced handwritten lyric sheet, a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity, and a custom Bear Strap—exactly like the guitarist’s own—are also included inside the brown and pink hardshell case that comes with each Noel Gallagher ES-355.
While the Gibson Custom Noel Gallagher 1960 ES-355 may have sold already, you can get the look and sound of the instrument that defined the ultimate rock ‘n’ roll sound of the ’90s with the Epiphone Noel Gallagher Riviera in stunning Dark Wine Red—which you can shop now from CME!
