Fender Custom Shop 30th Anniversary Jimmie Vaughan Signature Stratocaster
In advance of Vaughan’s new album, Baby, Please Come Home, releasing May 17th on Last Music Company, Fender celebrates thirty years of the legendary Vaughan Brothers’ duo record, Family Style, with the release of the Custom Shop 30th Anniversary Jimmie Vaughan Signature Stratocaster–available here in three classic colorways: Olympic White, Aztec Gold, and Wide Fade 2-Tone Sunburst.
Custom specs. Legendary Custom Shop quality.
For Jimmie Vaughan it’s always been about the Stratocaster. From first scratching out the blues backwards while laid up with a broken collarbone to entertaining millions world-wide, the Strat has been Vaughan’s object of lust, obsession, and a symbol of pure power since first strum. It’s fitting then that his legacy as a remarkable technical and stylistic individualist is reflected in his own heavily modded Custom Shop 30th Anniversary Signature Stratocaster and its hand-wound JLV single-coil pickups, JLV Modified #2 wiring, ‘50s style two-piece alder body and tinted, rift-sawn one-piece JLV C-profile maple neck with 9.5” radius maple fingerboard and 21 57110 Jumbo frets.
Custom Shop Master Builder John Cruz hand-crafted the custom specs and “hot-rod car” essence Jimmie Vaughan prefers into each and every one of these 30th Anniversary Signature Stratocasters, ensuring that all 30 sets are ready to rev up like a Fabulous Thunderbird.
Family Style means something more when you’re a Vaughan.
Jimmie Vaughan and his younger brother, the late Stevie Ray Vaughan, are genuine purveyors of the artform, universally renowned as two of the most talented and iconic white blues guitarists and held in the highest esteem by players and fans alike. Family Style, released just one month after Stevie’s death, is the only record on which the Vaughans appear together and marks an important moment in the history of electric blues guitar and 20th century music as a whole.
