Finish Details: Original, with a small finish touchup on the bottom of the neck heel. This spot has been touched up with black lacquer following a neck reset.

Body Details: Hollow body with arched maple back, maple sides, and laminated maple top. A jack plate has been added to the side of the treble bout to reinforce this area.

Neck Details: Set-in maple neck with unbound Brazilian rosewood fretboard, dot inlays, and non-adjustable neck reinforcement. The neck has been reset and refretted, and the nut replaced.
Electronics: Original "Jimmy Reed" style pickup and original wiring harness, with 2-position tone switch and master volume/tone controls. The pots do not have visible date codes.

Cosmetic Condition: The bass shows plenty of nice natural aging, with checking and various chips, dings, and scratches on the glossy finish. The back of the body and neck have heavier finish wear, and the bottom of the neck heel has been touched up with black lacquer.

Tech Notes: The bass plays well with low action and optimal neck relief; the neck does not have an adjustable truss rod. The frets are tall with minor wear. The construction style of this model dates it to the 1950s.
