Finish Details: The body has been fully refinished by John Black. The neck finish appears to be original; the "Original Contour Body" decal is not original.
Body Material: Alder
Body Details: Solid alder body. The body has been fully refinished. An "11-63" pencil date is present in the control cavity, and was masked off during the refinish.
Neck Material: Maple
Fingerboard Material: Brazilian Rosewood
Neck Profile: "C" profile
Neck Thickness (IN): .82" (1st fret), .99" (12th fret)
Fingerboard Radius: 7.25"
Nut Width: 1-5/8"
Scale Length: 25 1/2"
Neck Details: Bolt-on maple neck with unbound Brazilian rosewood veneer fretboard, clay dot inlays, and heel-adjust truss rod. The neck has been refretted and the nut has been replaced. The neck has a "2 OCT 63B" heel stamp.
Electronics: Original Fender single coil pickups with black fiberboard bobbins; the bridge pickup was rewound in 2004 by Fralin. The 5-way selector switch and the neck pickup tone pot are not original; the master volume control and middle pickup tone pot are original, with 1963 date codes. Some wires have been replaced as well.
Pickup Measurements: 5.7k (neck), 5.6k (middle), 6.6k (bridge)
Hardware: The middle pickup tone knob is not original. The nut has also been replaced. The trem cavity cover and arm are both missing.

Case Details: Hardshell case
Cosmetic Condition: The guitar has an aged refinish, with checking and patches of wear on the glossy finish. The pickguard is cracked at the bass side screw of the neck pickup, but is otherwise secure. The back of the neck is worn to a smooth and comfortable satin, and the hardware has tarnished nicely with age.
Serial Number: L17119
Tech Notes: The guitar plays well with low action and optimal neck relief, and is currently set up with 10s. The truss rod is adjustable, and has a margin in both directions. The frets are tall with some light wear present. The heel stamp, electronics codes, and serial number date the guitar to 1963.
