Body Material: Maple
Body Details: Maple back and sides with spruce top. There are two small repaired cracks on the side of the treble bout, near the endpin. The endpin has been replaced with an endpin jack to accommodate the electronics.

Neck Details: Set-in three piece maple neck with mahogany center strip, bound Brazilian rosewood fretboard, and split parallelogram inlays. The neck has been refretted and the nut has been replaced.
Electronics: A "McCarty" pickup/pickguard assembly has been installed; the assembly is correct for the era, but is not original to the instrument. The screw-in output jack and cable assembly has been replaced with a standard 1/4" endpin jack; the original cable/jack assembly is included. The pickups are original Gibson flat-pole single coil pickups, and controls include neck/bridge volume controls and master tone control. The pot codes are not visible, but they appear to be the original components. A few solder joints have also been touched up.

Hardware: The pickup/pickguard assembly is not original to the instrument. An endpin jack has been installed, and the tuners have been replaced. The original tuners are included.

Case Details: Hardshell case
Cosmetic Condition: The guitar shows wear appropriate for its age; the finish is glossy with consistent finish checking on the body. There are numerous light scratches, small dings, and finish chips throughout as well, included many small dings along the sides of the body. There are two repaired cracks on the bottom side of the treble bout, which have some finish wear as well. The headstock face has some light finish checking.
Serial Number: A15021
Tech Notes: Plays well with low action and optimal neck relief; the guitar is currently set up with flatwound strings with a wound G. The frets are wide and tall with minor wear. The serial number dates the guitar to 1953.
