Finish Details: Original excluding the finish over the headstock repair and minor touch-ups on the back edges of the body.
Body Material: Mahogany
Body Details: Mahogany solid body -- There is a repaired crack on the back of the body at the neck heel. A slight gap is visible at the bass side of the neck joint seem from the repaire. This is cosmetic as the joint is stable.

Neck Details: One-piece set mahogany neck with a Brazilian rosewood board, center pearloid dot inlays, truss adjustment at the headstock -- There is a significant headstock break repair. A scarf joint has been cut, material added, and the joint epoxied together with the finish on the surrounding area touched up.
Electronics: Two P-90 pickups, 3-way toggle pickup selector switch, volume and tone controls per pickup -- Original excluding a replaced output jack. The lead wire to the jack has been spliced. There is a visible date code on the neck tone pot from 1965.
Pickup Measurements: Neck: 8.2 kΩ, Bridge: 8.3 kΩ
Hardware: A Leo Quan Badass bridge has been installed. -- The pickguard is not original -- The upper strap button is original but has been moved to the side of the upper bout. The lower strap button is not original.
Modifications/Repairs: Headstock break repair -- Repaired crack on the back of the body at the neck heel -- Non-original bridge, lower strap button, output jack, and pickguard -- The upper strap button has been moved -- There are two filled gouges on the back edge of the body near either waist

Cosmetic Condition: This Firebird I shows significant play wear and aging. The finish is chipped and checked throughout. There are a couple gouges on the sides of the back of the body that have been filled and touched up.
Serial Number: 519129
Tech Notes: Currently, set up with 10-gauge strings and low action. The truss rod functions correctly, but the neck does sight with a very slight twist - this is not affecting playability. The frets are wide with moderate to low height showing minimal play wear as they have been recently dressed. -- The serial number dates from 1965 or 1968. The electronics date from 1965.
