Lighter, louder, and with purer tone, the modern D-55 features many of the premium appointments of the original, as well as scalloped Adirondack bracing, improved dovetail neck joint, and a hand-finish for minimum thickness and maximum resonance, and like its predecessors the modern USA D-55 is designed to improve with age.
