On March 28, 1968 Seymour rewound a set of Fender pickups at a local music store in Cincinnati, OH and took them with him backstage at Xavier University to meet the Jimi Hendrix Experience as they prepared to play that night. Roger Mayer installed Seymour's pickups into a white Strat which Jimi performed with. Seymour spoke to Jimi for hours about tone and Jimi's tricks, such as the intro to Foxy Lady! The set of pickups we will be producing are wound to the same exact specs as the pickups Jimi used on that special evening. These are OTC. To replicate the effects of them being upside down in the guitar, they feature a reverse stagger yielding a fuller tone from the high strings and a more relaxed output from the low strings. This results in a very even string response across the fretboard.
