One of the three models in Taylor's new Grand Pacific line, the 317e is a round-shouldered dreadnought inspired by those used on early bluegrass and old-time recordings.
Constructed with solid tonewoods like a Sitka spruce top and sapele back and sides, the 317e offers a balanced tonal response somewhere between the dry, focused character of mahogany and the harmonically complex rosewood. V-Class bracing, new from Taylor, allows the top to vibrate naturally, blending the low end to eliminate the muddiness often associated with larger-bodied acoustics and increasing overall sustain and projection.
The Taylor 317 Grand Pacific comes equipped with a hardshell case and ES2 electronics.
