NEW @ CME: Reverend Descent Baritone Guitars in CME Exclusive Colors!
How low can your guitar go? If you’re looking for resounding growls and thunderous roars from your next instrument, then go down—way down!—with Reverend’s Descent baritone guitars at CME!
Boasting a roasted maple neck with a 26 ¾-inch scale, Reverend’s Descent RA and Descent W baritone guitars are specially designed to deliver the booming lows of a korina-bodied baritone guitar, but short enough to play like a normal guitar—giving guitarists the best of both worlds!
Now available in CME Exclusive colorways, including Army Green (RA) and Coral (W), both Reverend Descent models feature Railhammer pickups—giving players a passive bass roll-off knob—and are outfitted with Reverend’s custom SIT 12-68 gauge string set, which features a plain third string for easy bending.
Features
CUSTOM PICKUPS
Reverend designs its own proprietary custom pickups, to achieve the best tonal match with its instruments. Reverend pickups are also specifically designed for each position, for balanced volume and tone when switching.
ROASTED MAPLE NECKS
Roasted Maple is heat treated at over 300° F to remove sugars, moisture, and impurities. This maple is lighter, more stable, and has a beautiful caramel color. The result is an exceptional maple neck that will require less seasonal adjustment, and boasts a rich vintage look!
KORINA BODY
Korina (aka White Limba) is a medium-light weight wood, highly prized for consistency and tonal qualities. Often found in boutique and vintage instruments, all Reverend instruments feature Korina bodies. A highly resonant wood, Korina is a key factor to producing the brand’s lively, responsive instruments that are rich in harmonics.
BASS CONTOUR
This passive bass roll-off is great for tightening up the low end, or re-voicing the pickups. It can make a humbucker sound like a single-coil, or give a P-90 that classic twang. With Reverend Descent baritones, variable pickup voicing is at your fingertips!
PIN-LOCK TUNERS
A thumbwheel under the tuner pushes a steel pin up through the post, locking the string in place for exceptional tuning stability and super-fast string changes.
BONEITE NUT
Reverend uses "Boneite," a synthetic bone nut, that is more consistent than natural bone, on all Reverend instruments. It reduces friction, allowing the strings to slide through the nut slots smoothly, improving tuning stability.
TREBLE BLEED CIRCUIT
All Reverend guitars have a treble bleed circuit, preserving the treble when you roll back the volume control. When you roll back a standard volume control, the tone loses treble and becomes dull sounding. Now you can turn down and still sound great!
